A tour at a printing company

One of my parents friends, MJ, works at a printing company. My mom, Star, being an artist, did a computer art collage. She sent the art to Motion Printing, where MJ works. When we arrived, Star collected her print. MJ asked if we wanted to have a tour. We agreed, and she led us to a door in the back. We entered a huge room, with massive machines. MJ told us that printing was only made successful if it was made with five properties;

  1. Paper
  2. Ink
  3. Air
  4. Water
  5. Pressure

When Heidelberg made the first printer, it still contained of those 5 properties. It has not changed since.

MJ showed me the first printer. IT WAS HUGE! She said that it was only the small printer.

We moved on to the big printer.

boy, if I thought that the small one was big, I was wrong. The BIG printer consisted of 6 towers. Each tower was a different color. At the front of the machine was the paper, suction cups sucked up the paper, then sent it through the machine.

After that, we went over to where the books where folded, then where they were stapled, after that, we visited a huge container full of paper shreds. A big tube shot out the paper shreds, and MJ said that once, there were so many shreds, that the pile was up to the roof!

We were almost done our tour. We went to a machine that engraves trophy names. Just type out what you wanted, and the machine would do it for you!

It was a really cool experience. Cheers to MJ!
