Dizzy in the Sand

I got up pretty early today, because my ista and tota were leaving for a far away place. I’ve been there before, visiting my cousin, but now I stay home with mommie, sassy and kokos. I had banana bread for breakfast, which was really good, mommie made it for ista and tota so they’d have a snack on their four hour drive. We all left at the same time, and I couldn’t decide which car to get into, tota, ista and mommie were all getting in their cars. Turns out, I was going with mommie, so I said a brave goodbye to ista, and cusoon to tota. Mommie and I went to Rona. I like Rona, everyone talks to me there, and I talk to them. “Hi cutie, how are you” and I say “push cart” … mommie brings stuff to the counter, and I pay for it. I push the buttons and everything, then she tells me “STOP” and usually that means I’ve finished paying for it. We walked out hand in hand and the nice lady who was sweeping let me clean for a few minutes, cause I really like to help out with the dustpan. On the drive back home, I talked alot to my friend Thomas the train and told him how I was going to kleen at home. On the way up the driveway, I noticed that dizzy was outside in the sand, along with truck. No sense in leaving them alone to play, so I joined them. [editor’s note] this is a mound of sand created by a mole or groundhog, which fisher has claimed as his sandbox [end editor’s note]. It was sunny and hot and barely 9.30am, but I was really enjoying my sandbox when mommie said it was time to go in and work! WORK, I DON’T WORK, I PLAY, I said, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY as loud as I could. In fact, I think the rural neighbours were dialing their telephones as I screamed my intentions. Finally, mommie convinced me that it was nice to play inside too, and that dizzy and ‘ruck could come in with me. I watched NEMO instead, of course. At the end I sang “BY the sea” to mommie and kissed her when the singer said  .. mommie said I couldn’t be cuter, but I don’t know what she’s talking about. Just then, I wanted MILK, and I said so….let me clarify, I SCREAMED so. Mommie said, shhhh I’m on the phone, so I said it louder. She kept saying “he’s two, you know what that means” What does that mean, she won’t tell me? Then, I found out that mommie was talking to bob the builder on the phone, and so, I wanted to say hi, but she wouldn’t let me. She promised that bob would come over, and I could help him build something. I waited and waited, and decided I’d watch Shark Tale – I like Will Smith, he dances goofy! I ate berries and yogurt for my lunch snack and just as bob arrived I got really sleepy. But, I went downstairs anyways, and while mommie did alot of talking I played in the weedbeater box, inside, outside, underneath, around and around.

I told bob I’d see him later and made mommie take me upstairs so I could crawl into bed. BANG, BANG, BANG … that’s all I could hear in the basement, so I threw the covers over my head and drank my bottle UNDERNEATH [editor’s note : appreciate that he screams underneath on a regular basis] A few minutes later my nap was over, mommie says I slept for a couple of hours, but I don’t believe her, I barely closed my eyes. bob had already left, and I was disappointed, but mommie told me he’s coming back tomorrow, so I’m getting all my tools ready. I plan to be a big help tomorrow. Off to town we went, mummum for the puppies at the new store we found last week – and the man at the counter was so nice, he gave us a free pack of cookies for kokos and sassy. I pushed the cart in the grocery store, and I wouldn’t let mommie put anything in my cart, so she was carrying all her things. She kept trying to sneak things in my cart, but I would say ‘no, no, no’ and pull things out and give them back to her. She tried to tell me that the cart is for carrying things, but I know it’s for driving, racing and bumping into people. Good thing everyone thinks I’m cute, cause mommie had to say sorry a few times. On the way home, I reminded mommie that playing in the sand with dizzy was my next priority. Nothing was going to change my mind. So, before mommie could empty the truck, dizzy and I played in the sand. I would have stayed all night, but mommie told me that I could have git git [editor’s note – chicken] and rice if I came inside. I wasn’t sure at first, but since I was allowed to bring dizzy in and sit with me at the table, I agreed to give it a try. Sure enough, git git, rice and APPLE SAUCE….yummy! I did it all myself with a BIG spoon. I didn’t even make a mess, not really, just a few grains here and there and in my pants.

[editor’s note] More to come, evening…

after dinner i saw a picture of a rabbit on one of mommie’s dvd’s. It was called “wallace and gromit” and I just had to watch it. Sitting still for the entire show, I absorbed it. As soon as it stopped, I asked mommie if I could watch it again. She suggested we go for a walk, I said no. She suggested we play outside, I said no. She suggested that if I didn’t get up off my butt and help her take the garbage out there was going to be a price to pay. I wasn’t sure what that meant, so I decided to co-operate. When I got outside I didn’t want to help with the garbage anymore – instead I wanted to get into the truck, run on the road, chase squirrels and yell MOOOOOOON! I eventually helped mommie drag the garbage because I noticed it had ‘bobbies’ [editor’s note : translated, wheels] which I like. I DO IT, I DO IT.!! I didn’t want to help mommie with the recycling because the box didn’t have wheels, so I just watched mommie do it, mommie do it. Forced back inside by a mosquito – one in particular was chasing me – I got on my bike and screamed GIT GIT! Not because I wanted chicken, but because I like the sound of my own voice….I bellowed again. Mommie gave me a strange look. We read a book. I pointed out all the letters I knew, my favorite is “O” because there seems to be alot of them around. I rocked with mommie to sleep in my special chair to the sounds of “fait dos dos mon petit fils” …. life is good.

You still like “underneath,” eh!? I remember when you ORDERED me “underneath!” so we can play tent-people under the comforter. We liked the colorful one. How’s the wane and copter? I checked wane ticket prices, but it’s a little too expensive for me to make a weekend trip to you at this moment…
