My Fair Gentleman!

on a beautiful sunny day, my mommie, ista and tota took me to the fair.  It was my first fair, and I have to admit, I was trying to play it cool at first, but it was really hard to contain myself!  There were so many things that I recognized, and so many things I wanted to touch and try.  Right when we walked in there was a whole bunch of horsie’s all going around and around in circles…I like to spin, so this was something I needed to do right away.  Mommie, ista and tota flipped a coin as to who was going to spin with me, and ista was the winner.  While I had a smile and flushed face with excitement, it seemed that ista was turning green by the time we went around the carousel 10 times.  tota and mommie were laughing the whole time.  Then I found my very own Jumping Jay…this is a place where I can jump and bounce, usually reserved for mommies bed, but at the fair, they had a whole room of kids jumping around….I had to go in, and I had to go in twice.  At first, I was tentative and would bounce once or twice, then watch the other ‘bigger’ kids practically hit the roof.  I did a couple of slick dance moves that tota really liked, and by the time I went in the second time, I was jumping around like everyone else.  There were so many sights and sounds, I kept asking what everything was, especially at the little farm, there were gwes gwes [pigs], sheep, cows, donkeys, llamas, goats and a whole room of git-git’s [chickens] and I got to pet some of them.  Around the corner from the farm was a REAL HORSIE!!!  I got on the biggest horse and took a ride, I DO IT, IDOIT!  I saw the big ferris wheel and wanted to ride that, but mommie distracted me to a big slide instead.  both ista and tota took me down the fast slide in a potato bag, wheeeeeee!  I got to have ice cream and stole some of ista’s pogo, and mommie mentioned something about cotton candy, but we never did try it.  I remember auntie chee saying that was the only reason why she goes to fairs, so I was curious.  At both ends of the park there were my favorite things – tractors at one end and trains at the other.  I got to ride the train, by myself, and touch all the bubbies [wheels] of the tractors.  After only a few hours, I was exhausted and made my tota carry me around with a balloon on my arm from the “bear in your area booth”.  It was fun, and when I’m older (like next year), I’m gonna stay for three hours and have cotton candy!

I’d love to see that!!! Didn’t you upload a video before?
I can’t wait to find a job so I can come and visit. It seems like backwards, but I need to know there is money coming in before I can spend what I have. Once I find a job, I’m sure they’ll wait 1 week before I have to start work…

fair day! fair day! nothing like one of those, young fella. cici and eBB thought of you while we were in dresden; there was a dude in the market who sold great big poofy wads of “zuckerwatte” (=literally “sugar cotton wadding”) just for young ladies & gentlemen like you (and who promptly got sticky faces). good times!
